Celebrate the 2027 Year of the Goat with this beautifully crafted 1 oz Silver Proof Coloured Coin from The Perth Mint, bringing together lunar tradition, family symbolism and exquisite craftsmanship.

According to Chinese legend, the Goat secured eighth place in the great race to determine the animals of the lunar calendar. Travelling alongside the Monkey and Rooster, the determined trio worked together to cross a powerful river, with the Goat leading the way to the far bank. The story reflects the Goat’s traditional associations with calmness, compassion, creativity and quiet resilience.

The reverse features a majestic adult Goat standing proudly among towering mountains, while a playful kid prances nearby beneath the watchful gaze of its father. A mother Goat rests peacefully beneath delicate cherry blossoms, creating a serene family scene that symbolizes harmony, renewal and the arrival of spring. The design is completed by the Chinese character for Goat, the inscription “GOAT 2027” and The Perth Mint’s iconic “P” mintmark.

Struck in 1 oz of silver with a Proof finish and vibrant colour, this elegant release is a meaningful celebration of the Goat and the qualities it represents in Chinese lunar tradition.
