The snake holds the sixth position in the Chinese lunar calendar, representing wisdom, intelligence, and charm. Those born in the Year of the Snake—2025, 2013, 2001, 1989, 1977, and every twelfth preceding year—are known for their articulate nature, passion, and natural leadership qualities.
This coin’s reverse features a stunning circular panel showcasing an elegant snake detailed in pure Australian opal. The intricate design is complemented by stylized depictions of jasmine, a plant said to attract snakes. The reverse also bears the inscription "YEAR OF THE SNAKE," the Chinese character for "snake," the 2025 year-date, the coin’s weight and purity, and The Perth Mint’s "P" mintmark.
