The Design:
The coin features the curve of a real Russian Matryoshka Doll, with beautiful colouration and comes in a two-sized Matryoshka case. A certificate of authenticity is also included. The main design features an oval shape with an intricately detailed selective colour image of Father Frost, or “Ded Moroz”, joined by a lovely Snow Maiden in a matching coat. The obverse of the coin depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: “ELIZABETH II, SOLOMON ISLANDS, $5, 1 Oz Ag 999”.
