This 2022 $20 fine silver coin marks the 50th anniversary since the creation of the Medal of Bravery in 1972. Courage and heroism are always worth celebrating, and in the 50 years since the medal was first established, nearly 3,300 gallant souls have been honoured for courageous actions that impacted Canada or Canadians. From intervening in an attack to rescuing people from a submerged car, their “acts of bravery in hazardous circumstances” qualify these everyday citizens as heroes among us. By selflessly risking their lives to save or protect another, they have earned this nation’s gratitude and admiration, as well as one of Canada’s top honours for courage. A bonus 25 cent Medal of Bravery coin is also included with the $20 fine silver coin. Mintage is limited to 6,000. HST/GST exempt.
