Description
This large and impressive spherical 2022 one kilogram fine silver Rhinoceros coin combines innovation, impressive size, high intrinsic metal value, low mintage and an engaging theme. Multiple rhino designs cover the surface of the coin together with the legal tender denomination 1,000 francs in Djibouti. Mintage is limited to just 199 pieces. HST/GST exempt.
The Design:
The design includes four different images of rhinos in their natural habitat, both up close and in groups. The top of the sphere includes the date 2022, the shape of Africa, and a symbol for “the big 5”, referring to the five animals in this series: the rhinoceros, lion, leopard, elephant, and the buffalo. The bottom design includes the coat-of-arms of the Republic of Djibouti, the weight and purity of the silver, and the denomination of 1000 Francs. A premium wood pedestal stand with an acrylic presentation cover showcases the coin for display.
