Description
A crystal-encrusted drusy stone of brightest green recalls the glorious forest canopy at the height of summer. This is the Royal Canadian Mint's second coin featuring a semi-precious drusy stone embellishment and exquisite Art Nouveau-inspired engraving.
This $20 coin is 99.99% pure silver, with a diameter of 38 millimetres and a metal weight of 31.39 grams. The reverse design by Canadian artist Tony Bianco features a cluster of birch leaves that includes a green drusy stone leaf embellishment. The sparkling drusy leaf emerges from the engraved silver cluster, seeming to burst out of the image alongside a clutch of catkins. The image is encircled by an ornate Art Nouveau-style frame of curled branches and stylized foliate shapes. Variations in finishing work with intricate engraving to give the design depth and texture.
A unique addition to your Canadiana, nature-themed, or embellished coin collection.
