The Design:
The coin design features the U.S.S. Enterprise in a recreation of a scene from the 1968 episode I, Mudd. The rich colour over the engraved rendering gives it a life-like quality. Shown in three quarter view, it allows the viewer a full glimpse of the saucer like hull, while the twin warp nacelles are visible at the rear. The yellow, gold and red-brown colours of the Class K planet seem vibrant against the dark expanse of space.
