The Design:

This $20 fine silver coin by Canadian Artist Bonnie Ross features a map that outlines the shores and major waterways of Eastern Canada where U-boats sunk or destroyed vessels during the Battle of the Gulf of St. Lawrence.  The minesweeper HMCS Drummondville of the Royal Navy is in the foreground, with the pennant numbers “J253” clearly visible on her starboard side.  .
