The Design:
The design by Curtis Atwater presents a portrait of the rainbow trout in its natural habitat. The front of its body is angled to the viewer while its tail curls behind and to the left. It is by a fallen branch, in a shallow, gravel-bottom river. This coin includes special edge lettering that lists the coin's metal weight and purity: "9999 Fine Silver 1 oz 9999 Argent pur 1 oz".
The Rainbow Trout:
A rainbow trout has a long, narrow body come in a variety of colours from brown and black to olive and a blue-green. Rainbow trout always have a reddish stripe down both sides of its body from head to tail. The fish’s underbelly is white and tiny black spots cover its back, sides and fins. The fish has sharp teeth on the roof of its mouth but has no lower teeth at all.
