Description

This 2015 $10 pure gold coin depicts the polar bear and its small baby cub as they roam through their natural arctic habitant. The Polar bear is an iconic animal for Canadians, as its ability to survive and thrive in the harshest climate reflects Canadians' stalwart pragmatism and spirit of adventure. It features a diameter of 20mm, and a low, limited mintage of 2,000 coins worldwide. As a pure gold coin, this item is GST/HST-exempt.

The Design:

Designed by Canadian artist Germaine Arnaktauyok, the reverse features a polar bear and its cub in its natural habitat. This coin was struck in a quarter-ounce of 99.99% pure gold in a quality proof finish with mirror background, a technique that gives the fur of the polar bear a lifelike texture.
