Vivien Leigh:

(November 5, 1913 - July 8, 1967) Her breakout film "Gone with the Wind has solidified her as one of the Hollywood™s great legends.

The British actress is considered one of the great Hollywood legends. Upon returning to London from India, at the age of seven, she was sent to a catholic boarding school. She was a member of the theatre group as well as the school orchestra and took ballet and piano lessons. In 1938, Vivien made her way to Hollywood, where she was offered the much desired role of Scarlett O'Hara in the production of Gone with the Wind. Since its world premiere, this film has made nearly 4 billion dollars and is considered one of the most important works in the history of moving pictures. Thanks to this film, she became an overnight success, and was honoured in 1940, when she won an Academy Award for best actress. In one of her early films she met her fellow actor Laurence Oliver, and consequently married in 1940.
