Description
This Wolverine coin is the last in the series called “Untamed Canada”. The coin features the wood-block-style of a Wolverine set against symbolic elements of its Canadian habitat. With a diameter of 40 mm, this is an impressive large profile coin with a weight of just under one ounce of pure silver. Mintage is limited to just 8500 coins worldwide. As a pure silver coin, this item is GST/HST exempt.
The Design:
Designed by Canadian artist Tivadar Bote, the coin features the woodblock-style portrait of a wolverine set against a sunburst motif bearing symbolic elements of the wolverine's Canadian habitat. The outer frame is engraved with the species' Latin name, "Gulo Gulo," the word "CANADA," the date "2014," and the face value of "20 DOLLARS."
