As one of the most popular sports in Canada and around the world, the Royal Canadian Mint celebrates the game of baseball with this limited edition pure silver $20 proof coin.  The design features the “Fielder”.  This officially licensed silver coin is double struck in pure .9999 fine silver with a near flawless frosted cameo proof finish.  Mintages are limited to just 7,500.  As pure silver coins issued by the Royal Canadian Mint, these coins are HST/GST exempt.  

The Design:

This coin features a stylized baseball fielder in a classic uniform and well-known bent-over pose, gloved right arm extended before him and left leg kicking back behind as he lunges for a ground ball. This figure is layered over an abstract circling form that symbolizes the event's speed, skill and international inclusiveness. He is flanked on the right side by the official logo of the World Baseball Classic tournament.
