Description

This 2012 sterling silver $5 golf coin celebrates the game of golf with superb high quality detail, selective colour and a three-dimensional golf ball element. Mintage is limited to just 2,500 coins.

The Design:

The design features a golfer using an iron completing his shot down the fairway.  Selective colour defines the fairway, rough and trees in the background while the prominent three-dimensional spherical golf ball appears to be in full motion heading towards the viewer.

The coin is issued by Cook Islands and under license from the PGA, and includes the inscription “Heritage - Sportsmanship - Respect“– words that define the values of the PGA TOUR and the game of golf. This unique coin comes in a golf ball shaped capsule with a certificate of authenticity. The coin weighs 20 grams of sterling silver and has a $5 legal tender status in Cook Islands.
