Description
Part of the Royal Canadian Mint's Transportation series, this sterling silver coin with selective gold plating features the Bricklin SV-1.
The Bricklin SV-1, aka the "gull-winged wonder", briefly turned Saint John, New Brunswick into a global automotive focal point during the 1970s. Designed to rival the aesthetic of an Italian Maserati at a more accessible price point, the Bricklin promised performance and safety features ahead of its time. Though its legacy is cemented in Canadian history, production was famously short-lived, with the factory closing its doors after only 2,854 vehicles were ever built.
