Part of the Canadian Sports Firsts series, this sterling silver coin commemorates the first international yacht race between Canada and the United States which took place on Lake St. Clair, Ontario, in 1874.

Captain Alexander Cuthbert’s uniquely designed Annie Cuthbert claimed victory for Hamilton over Chicago’s Cora. The prize was the Goodwin Cup: one of the world's oldest freshwater racing trophies which was originally donated by Queen Victoria and later renamed the Fisher Cup.
