Description
This example of George VIs 50 cent piece exhibits the partial hoof through 6 variety of this coin. This variety was caused by a rare early state of the die crack. The mint state quality of this coin is exhibited through the original mint lustre found in the fields of both obverse and reverse, with slight hues of amber patina found around the perimeter of the obverse. Strong details remain in this deeply struck relief. This rare variety is a must for any collection.
