Description

This first 2023 fine silver coin set from the Royal Canadian Mint is an annual favourite, presenting five different denominations and sizes of a special collector issue fine silver maple leaf coin. This set marks the 35th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Mint’s silver maple leaf bullion coin and includes the double dates 1988 / 2023. The coins bear a face value of $5, $4, $3, $2, and $1 respectively. Mintage of this set is limited to 3,000.  GST/HST exempt. 


The Design:

The maple leaf design for all five coins features the Red Maple (Acer rubrum), a dazzling Canadian maple that gets its name from the spring colour of its flowers, stems and leaf buds. This “blush” of colour inspired the addition of rose gold plating to the one ounce coin, where the raised rim consists of an engraved pattern of tiny maple leaves that artfully elevates this SML celebration.

Each obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susana Blunt together with the denomination.
