The very fabric of being Canadian is heavily influenced by the events, festivals and iconic places that we identify as representing our country. Through this artistic and colourful collection of 12 fine silver coins, you can join the Canadian fun and festivities! The obverse of each coin features the face value "3 dollars," the year "2019" and the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.

• Fireworks over Niagara Falls: this coin features a fireworks display on a January night, just above a side view of the colourfully lit Horseshoe Falls in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
• Dogsledding: this coin features a colourful depiction of a team of sled dogs slicing through the powdery snow on a clear winter day.
• Maple syrup tasting: this coin features a colourful depiction of a young family enjoying a sugar bush experience in early spring. Tin buckets collect the sap from the tapped maple trees in the foreground. A winding path leads back to the sugar shack, where syrup is made in a more traditional way, by boiling the sap in a large kettle hanging over a roaring fire.
• Cherry blossoms: step into the city on a quiet evening to highlight a spectacular springtime occurrence: the cherry blossom season. Two people ride their bicycles on a tree-lined street, where flowering cherry trees form a beautiful canopy of pink-and-white blooms overhead.
• Tulips: a ground-level view of the Peace Tower on Parliament Hill highlights a colourful array of tulips that are among the flowering symbols of spring in places such as Ottawa, Ontario, which hosts a world-famous tulip festival each May.
• Coastal drive: sweeping ocean views, lighthouses, sandy beaches and more—with so much to see and do, the longer days of summer and the lure of the open road provide the perfect opportunity to take in all that Canada's coasts have to offer.
• Rodeo: under bright blue skies, a female competitor and her horse race against the clock during an outdoor barrel-racing event.
• Folk music: this coin celebrates the folk festivals that fill the air with music on warm summer nights. A viewpoint from the back of the stage places the focus on the performers: the banjo player and percussionist in the foreground, and the guitar-playing singer who is facing the crowd.
• Wine tasting: step into the heart of wine country, where the rolling hills are lined with fruit-laden grapevines. The grape clusters in the foreground hint at the bounty of the fall harvest season in Canada's many vineyards and wineries.
• Whale watching: this coin re-creates the thrilling experience of witnessing a whale breaching in Canada's coastal waters. In the foreground, a humpback whale suddenly lifts itself above the surface of the water, much to the delight of observers onboard a whale-watching boat in the background.
• Aurora borealis: this coin captures the wonder of seeing the aurora borealis in Canada. In the foreground, a young boy sits on his father's shoulders as they look up at the night sky, where the glowing green bands of the aurora borealis dance above the towering evergreens.
• Christmas celebration: this coin celebrates a fun holiday tradition in Canada. On a cold December day, a father has ventured outdoors with his two kids to select and cut down their Christmas tree. The chosen tree is placed on the sleigh as the three happily make their way home, accompanied by their pet dog.
