This 2017 Limited Edition Silver Dollar Proof Set brings together ultra high quality frosted cameo strike examples of the ÒMy Canada, My InspirationÓ Canada 150 commemorative coins, and a limited edition coloured proof silver dollar. At a very affordable price, this set represents a collectible celebration of Canada, and a powerful representation of what it means to be Canadian in 2017. Denominations include the 5 cent, 10 cent, colour 25 cent, 50 cent, Loon Style dollar, Silver proof dollar and colour 2 dollar coins.

About the Designs: Our Home and Native Land is designed by Canadians for Canadians, the engraved images on each reverse are exclusive for CanadaÕs 150th anniversary year, including those of the five circulation coins from the My Canada, My Inspiration collection. The set also includes a 50-cent coin bearing the official CANADA 150 logo of a maple leaf mosaic, which represents Confederation, and a special edition proof dollar.

The words ÒCANADAÓ, ÒDOLLARÓ and the commemorative dates Ò1867-2017Ó are also engraved below, along with the CANADA 150 logo. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.

Here the background features an engraved micro-pattern of thousands of maple leaves that are curved to create the feeling that the coin is a globe, along with a map of Canada to bring the focus on our nation. Engraved above it is the number Ò150Ó, whose large size conveys the significance of this milestone year, while the application of red colour echoes that of our nationÕs flag.

Bears the official CANADA 150 logo of a maple leaf mosaic, which represents Confederation. The tie that binds these coins is the Canada 150 logo, whose mosaic of 13 triangular shapes Ð one for each province and territory Ð evokes memories of the 1967 emblem.

25 Cent Design Artist:

Ontario Hope for a Green Future features a pair of hands bringing life to a plant that connects all living things Ñ represented by some notable Canadian animals.

10 Cent Design Artist:
Amy Choi Ð Calgary, Alberta
An airborne maple leaf which forms the wings and tail of a dove delicately outlined beneath it. Like the olive branch, the Canadian maple leaf has become a worldwide symbol of hope, peace and good faith.

5 Cent Design Artist:
Gerald Gloade Ð Millbrook First Nations, Nova Scotia
This unique design features a beaver in the traditional style of the northeastern woodland tribes of the Algonkian people. The beaver has long been the traditional emblem on Canada's five-cent coins. But its power as a symbol of the land we share goes back thousands of years, deeply connected to the heritage of First Nations people.
