The Design:

This coin is a recreation of Canada’s first 5 cent coin struck in nickel in 1922, and issued through to 1936.  The reverse design features two maple leaves facing out from the center, framing the bottom of a stylized “5”. The obverse design features a regal image of King George V, who was the reigning monarch. Selective gold plating is used to enhance the design on both sides of this collector issue coin.
