This 2014 one once fine silver $5 coin features a proof quality image of the peregrine falcon.  Revered since the Middle Ages, the peregrine falcon is one of the most striking, beautiful, graceful aerial predators in the world. Known for its breathtaking displays of flight agility, the bird can reach speeds over 300km/h while stooping, making it the fastest animal in the world.  Mintage is 20,000 coins. GST/HST exempt.

The main design by Canadian artist Emily Damstra depicts a Peregrine Falcon in a mid-air attack position.  The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
