Harlequin Duck:
The Harlequin Duck is a small, relatively uncommon sea duck. They are named for the clown-like appearance of the males. Slate-blue, males are highlighted in black-outlined white striping and accented by brown on the lower body and brownish black at the wing-tips. Females are well-camouflaged in basic brown. At an average weight of less than 700 g for males and less than 600 g for females, the species is roughly half the size of an average Mallard.
