Arctic Expedition Centennial Silver Dollar:  The design on the proof dollar features three men aboard a dogsled.  A stylized image of a compass can be seen in the background. In 1913, an international crew called the Canadian Arctic Expedition (CAE), set off for Canada's High Arctic. Their finding helped better define Canada's northern boundaries and contributed to Canada's scientific, social and cultural knowledge of both the Arctic of the people who inhabit the area.
