Every coin in this 2012 premium proof set is double struck with a frosted cameo proof finish in pure silver. The $1 coin and the 1 cent coin have selective gold plated features, while the centre of the $2 coin is pure silver plated with pure gold. The set is strictly limited to just 20,000. HST/GST exempt.  


Commemorative Dollar Coin Design:

The Proof Dollar depicts a British sergeant, a Voltigeur Canadien and an Iroquois warrior wearing historically accurate uniforms and approaching the invader with unity of purpose to defend the border and colonies they represent. Encircling the design are 200 finely struck beads symbolizing the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812.
