This 2012 $300 large and impressive looking gold coin is part of a series featuring the Coat-of-arms of each province, and pays tribute to the province of Quebec. The coin comes encapsulated and cased with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
The Coat of Arms is a rich heraldic tradition that dates back to the Middle Ages and endures today to represent modern monarchies, governing bodies or institutions.
The Design:
The design Quebec’s Coat of Arms as revised and officially adopted in 1939. The design features a shield containing three Fleurs de lis, a lion, and three maple leaves. The shield is set under the royal crown.
