Description
In 2003, the Royal Canadian Mint introduced a new series of colourized or holographic coins called the “Natural Wonders” collection. This is the fourth coin in the series, and likely the most spectacular to date in both design and execution of the coloured holographic effect. As you tilt the coin, the dazzling colours of the ice appear and transform. This is the lowest mintage in the series, with a total mintage of only 25,000 coin. HST/GST exempt.
The Design:
The icebergs pictured on this coin are islands of ice that have broken away from the polar cap and have been carried to the coast of Newfoundland by the ocean currents.
