Description

On December 12, 1901, aviation and communication pioneer Guglielmo Marconi (1874–1937) made history by successfully transmitting the first transatlantic wireless message. The signal traveled from Poldhu in Cornwall, England, across the ocean to Signal Hill in St. John's, Newfoundland.

Celebrate a century of global connectivity with this sterling silver commemorative set. Jointly issued by the Royal Canadian Mint and the British Royal Mint, this set contains both a Canadian $5 coin and a British 2 pound coin with selective gold plating.
