Description
The Royal Canadian Mint marked the beginning of the new millennium with a unique collector set of twelve different commemorative quarters and a special medallion. All 13 coins are set in an attractive oval shaped presentation holder with a futuristic view of Canada from space. Design information is provided on the back of the holder, and the presentation has a built in display stand. Each of the sets comes in a protective sleeve and in the original Royal Canadian Mint box of issue.
The themes featured on these coins have been identified by Canadians as cornerstones of the country's heritage and building blocks for their future. These themes are: Pride, Ingenuity, Achievement, Health, Natural legacy, Harmony, Celebration, Family, Wisdom, Creativity, Freedom, and Community. All of the coins and the medallion are struck with a near perfect mirror finish far superior to regular coins produced for circulation.
