Description

A unique example of early Canadian coinage. This 1858 Victorian ten cent piece represents the Plain Edge variety. A specimen strike with luminous original mint lustre shimmering from the recessed fields. The well struck relief maintains fantastic detail, most noted in Queen Victorias sweeping hair and laurel crown, as well as the intricate venation of the reverse maple leaves. A slight gold tone blankets the surface of this coin, resulting in a beautiful representative. A must have for collectors of early Canadian coins.
