Description
Dark copper toning creates beautiful highlights and shadows in this 1895 mint state Victorian penny. Original mint lustre found in the recessed fields provide a luminous background for the satiny toning, creating a light halo affect around the relief design. The well struck portrait of Queen Victoria maintains its intricate details, along with the reverses maple wreath design. A wonderful example of its grade, with only 5 examples graded higher by ICCS (4/14).
