Description
To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, the Royal Mint on behalf of Alderney have issued a five pound crown in several different versions. Mintage is limited to 10,000 coins worldwide.

The fourth portrait of H.R.H. Queen Elizabeth II, crowned, facing right, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley FRBS, with the inscription: ALDERNEY, FIVE POUNDS, ELIZABETH II 2010. The reverse features a Spitfires in the sky, with the inscription: BATTLE OF BRITAIN 1940
