Description
Marking a departure from the close-up view of previous Peace Dollar designs, the new reverse by retired Senior Engraver Susan Taylor presents a full-body portrait of Lady Peace, seen standing on a shoreline. The allegorical figure is supported by maple leaves, while maple leaf-shaped rays break through the clouds above – a unique combination of images that, together, convey a rousing expression of hope for peace, now and always. HST/GST Exempt.
The Design:
New for 2025, Canada’s Peace Dollar features a new representation of Lady Peace, the allegorical figure of Peace (“PAX”). Replacing the left-facing bust from previous Peace Dollars, this new design pulls back to reveal a more complete portrait of Lady Peace, surrounded by symbolic imagery that is intended to inspire and uplift.
