Elegance, history, rarity and intrinsic value combine perfectly to make this 2023 $300 fine platinum coin one of the Royal Canadian Mint’s most sought after collectibles. While this collector coin features a proof finish with selective gold elements and an extremely low mintage of just 375 pieces, it also marks the 35^th anniversary of the more plentiful bullion platinum maple leaf coin.  HST/GST exempt.

The Design:

The design features an elegant bouquet composed of sugar maple leaves. Yellow gold plating on the rim and on two of the four leaves creates a striking colour contrast, while the dates “1988-2023” commemorate the 35^th anniversary of the first Platinum Maple Leaf bullion coin. The rim is also gold-plated on the obverse, which, like the first coin issued in 1988, features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Arnold Machin.
