Description
This elegant silver-plated and selectively coloured coin celebrates the 70th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s ascension to the throne in 1952, and is now one of the last coins to be issued during her lifetime. The coin has a large 40 mm diameter with a main design featuring the young Queen shortly after her coronation in 1953 together with the Royal Cypher. The obverse features a recent effigy of Her Majesty, together with Samoa as the issuing country and the half dollar denomination. The coin comes presented in an attractive card display and protective capsule. Mintage is limited to 25,000.
