The Design

The reverse of the coin pays tribute to Egyptian royalty, depicting the pharaohs Akhenaten, Thutmosis III, and Sobekneferu. The obverse features an aerial, bird's-eye view of the historic Pyramids of Giza, anchored by an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.
