Description
This seven coin set makes the perfect 2021 dated Canadian gift or collectible which also tells the story behind the coins. The set includes high quality numismatic uncirculated examples of all the denominations in circulation from the 5 cent coin to $2. The highlight of the set is three different versions of the 10 cent commemorative Bluenose coin issued to mark the 100th anniversary of Canada’s iconic schooner.
The Design:
The first of these is the classic design with a double date 1921 / 2021. Two additional coins introduce a new design capturing the racing legend in all its glory, with the wind filling its sails as it races on the open ocean. One of these special issues also adds colour to the waves surrounding the Bluenose. A nod to Canada’s rich maritime heritage, the blue paint makes this the first coloured 10-cent circulation coin. The coins are presented in an attractive presentation folder with additional information about each coin. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
