The complete set of three two-ounce $30 fine silver coins feature Canada Geese, Great Horned Owls and Golden Eagles. Watch the smooth transition between wingbeats and the realistic depiction of movement as you tilt the coins in the light. Classic engraving and selective colour complete each coin as a work of art with multiple levels of interest and appeal. The mintage is extremely limited to just 2,500 of each coin. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
Canada Geese
Step into the Canadian wilderness, where mountain peaks and evergreens add a soaring sense of majesty to the engraved lake setting. In the foreground, a selectively coloured Canada goose is depicted just before lift-off. Its black head is thrust forward as it rushes headlong into the direction of its intended flight, with wings spread wide to gain momentum in order to join the others in the sky. The three flying geese are depicted in a multi-frame hologram, which re-creates the powerful wingbeats and fluid flight movements that carry them across Canada's skies.
Great Horned Owls
The scene is now a Canadian forest where we look up towards the treetops. In the foreground, a great horned owl glides across the engraved woodland setting on outstretched wings. The three-quarter view provides a rare close-up of this famous nocturnal hunter, including the specialized wing feathers that help silence its approach in the wild. Two owls fly across the sky on a separate scene in the background, where the embedded multi-frame hologram smoothly re-creates their wingbeats.
Golden Eagles
Welcome to the mountains of western Canada, where the golden eagle is most commonly found. A selectively coloured eagle flies on broad wings in the foreground, where the three-quarter view allows the careful study of its distinctive, finger-like flight feathers.
