Description
Multi-frame 3D holography is the innovative new technology that brings this beautiful and dynamic fine silver Majestic Birds series to life. The effect is almost magical, simultaneously presenting depth, colour and full motion to the imagery of Canada’s golden eagles. Watch the smooth transition between wingbeats and the realistic depiction of movement as you tilt the coin in the light. Classic engraving and selective colour complete the coin as a work of art with multiple levels of interest and appeal. The coin is dated 2019 with a $30 denomination and weighs two ounces of pure silver. Adding to its collectability, the mintage is extremely limited to just 2,500. HST/GST exempt.
The Design:
The reverse image by Pierre Leduc steps into the mountains of western Canada, where the golden eagle is most commonly found. A selectively coloured eagle flies on broad wings in the foreground, where the three-quarter view allows the careful study of its distinctive, finger-like flight feathers. Two additional golden eagles fly across the sky on a separate scene in the background, where the embedded multi-frame hologram re-creates their flight movements. The reverse also includes the word “CANADA” and the year “2019”. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
