Description
This 2019 $20 fine silver coin features the bald eagle in a striking portrait of the valiant icon known for soaring to incredible heights. The coin weighs one ounce of pure silver, and has a mintage limited to just 5,500. HST/GST exempt.
The Design:
The design is based on original art by W. Allan Hancock. It features classic fine detailed engraving with a reverse proof finish. The matte field amplifies the natural shine of the engraved relief.
The Bald Eagle:
The great Bald Eagle is an amazing predator whose image has become synonymous with the notions of freedom, majesty, strength and individualism. Eagles, in general, are renowned as much for their hunting skills, speed, and strength as for their striking looks and size. A large brown-feathered raptor with white-feathered head and tail, razor-sharp talons and sharp hooked beak, the Bald Eagle’s vision is four times sharper than in humans, and is key to its hunting prowess.
