A genuine Canadian FIRE AND ICETM diamond is the focal point of this innovative new 2019 $20 fine silver coin. Using a patented Dancing Diamond™ mount, the diamond stays in motion when the coin is lifted, allowing for a continuous dazzling sparkle of light to be refracted from the facets of the diamond. In addition to being a beautiful work of art housing a Canadian sourced diamond, collectability is enhanced by the extremely low mintage of just 750 coins. HST/GST exempt.
The reverse image by Canadian artist Anna Bucciarelli features a spiralling branch of acanthus leaves and Alberta wild roses. A Dancing Diamond™ is mounted in an open square at the centre of the coin. The swirling vine motif recalls the circular shape of the coin and acts as an excellent ground to showcase the classical acanthus leaves. The Alberta wild roses that dot the vine bring a Canadian element to the natural imagery. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt as well as the text “CANADA”, the date “2019”, and the face value of “20 DOLLARS”.
