This is the final coin in the dramatic and innovative low mintage coin series celebrating three different eras in the remarkable life of Queen Elizabeth.  Drawing on the extreme relief found in traditional repoussé metal working, each tribute effigy in the series rises more than 5 mm from the surface of the coin with striking effect, beautifully accentuated with an antique finish.  This coin presents the Queen as the matriarch of the royal family around the time of the 65th Anniversary of her reign (at age 91).

This 2018 has a $25 denomination and weighs over one ounce of pure silver, with a radical and captivating technology and a mintage of just 4,500 coins.  

The Design:

The portrait, created by Canadian artist Bonnie Ross, depicts Elizabeth II at the age of her sapphire jubilee. The design echoes the style of The Queen’s effigies that have appeared on coins—the face as the central element, shown from the neck up, facing right. The Queen is portrayed with a three-quarter view instead of the traditional side profile and is flanked by two rows of maple leaves. Her gentle smile reveals the wisdom and experience that are uniquely hers as the longest reigning monarch in Canadian history and in the nearly 1000 year long history of the British monarchy.
