The inspiring words of O Canada and the familiar sight of Canada’s national flag are inextricably linked on this fine silver coin, whose text-based design was made possible by the use of micro-sized letters.

Words become art on the reverse by Tony Bianco, where a luminous proof finish highlights the engraved outline of Canada’s national flag as it flaps in the breeze. Upon closer inspection, the iconic red bands and 11-point maple leaf are shaped by the English and French lyrics to O Canada; this colourful, textbased rendering was made possible by the use of coloured micro-sized letters, which ensures every letter is defined in spite of its diminutive size.
