Description

As Canada’s second-largest land-based carnivore, the powerful grizzly is an ideal subject for the third and final coin in the Royal Canadian Mint’s Call of the Wild 3-coin series. Though this enigmatic animal is normally elusive, one has been captured here for you in 99.999% pure gold—yours to admire in stunning detail. Mintage is limited to 250 coins. HST/GST exempt.

The Design:

The reverse design by Canadian artist Pierre Leduc features the profile portrait of a roaring grizzly bear backed by lines representing the bear’s roar. Viewed from its right side, the grizzly’s large, thick-furred head is raised with mouth open in a roar or growl. The bear’s characteristic small fur-covered ears, sharp teeth, and small dark eyes are presented in beautifully engraved detail.

A beautiful addition to any collection featuring fine artwork, natural images, native species of Canada, symbols of power and might, or Canadiana.
