The Design:
Highly detailed selective colouring showcases the baby raccoon’s soft expressions, the grey-brown fur, and its dark coloured eye mask and its ringed tail. The adult raccoon is attentive to any signs of danger as they are poised on the water’s edge near the green vegetation that provides shelter for some of the aquatic creatures that sustain them in the wild
The Raccoon:
This ever present mammal can weight from 3.5 to 9 kg’s and are 40 to 70 cm long. They will eat just about anything, and are found in forests, marshes, prairies, and cities. They are adaptable and use their dexterous front paws and long fingers to find and feast on a wide variety of foods.
In nature they capture much of their meals in the water. These nocturnal animals forage for food by using their quick paws to grab crayfish, frogs, and other aquatic creatures. On land, they pluck mice and insects from their hiding places and raid nests for tasty eggs. Raccoons also eat fruit and plants and will even open garbage cans.
