Description
This 2016 $20 pure silver coin features a unique three dimensional dome shape for the first time ever. This unique coin utilizes the new technology to add dimension and depth that could not be created with a two dimensional coin. This coin celebrates “mother earth” and the precious water that she provides. With first time new technology a limited mintage of only 7,000, this coin is expected to sell out quickly. As a pure silver coin issued by the Royal Canadian Mint, this item is HST/GST exempt.
The Design:
The reverse of this unique 3D dome effect in the shape of a water droplet lends a level of dimension and depth. It features a 3D droplet with a colour inset image of Earth, conveying the importance of water to our planet. The space around the water droplet brings the design’s focus to Canada, and the diverse fauna and flora that live there on land, in the sky, and in the water. It features a Red Fox, a red-headed Woodpecker on a flowering Dogwood tree, and a falcon, an Orca as it breaches over the waves, and mountains.
The reverse is engraved word “CANADA”, and the date “2016”. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
