This very large and substantial 2015 $125 proof quality pure silver coin has a diameter of 85 mm and a weight of half a kilogram of .9999 fine silver (over 16 troy ounces) , and is both an exceptional work of art and a low mintage collectible. This coin has a mintage of just 1,000 coins for Canada and the world.  As a pure silver coin struck by the Royal Canadian Mint, this item is GST/HST exempt. 

 

The Design:

The design is by Canadian artist Pierre Leduc features a profile portrait of a cougar with its jaw open in mid-growl. This coin was engraved with great detail to define the features of this elusive hunter, from the jaw line to the whiskers and fur. In the background coniferous forests of the Rocky Mountains.  This striking coin captures the strength and beauty of one of Canada's most formidable hunters in the wild: the cougar.
