The Design:
This coin celebrates an important moment in Canadian Catholic history; the reverse image displays an engraving reproduced from a photograph of Pope John Paul II offering mass during his first visit to Canada in 1984. The painstakingly-applied variety of finishes and skilled engraving bring this iconic moment to life, with many small details making this an impressive coin. It would make a special addition to any collection of unique or religious-themed pure gold coins.
