Description
This $20 pure silver coin presents a glimpse of one of the most beautiful natural scenes in Algonquin Park. The art was painted by Canadian artist Robert Ross, and depicts a breathtaking view of the Madawaska from the Track and Tower trail near Cache Lake. The composition centres on churning rapids as they overtake the granite outcroppings. Pine trees are in the background, and to the left and right autumn foliage of deciduous trees and brush.
The Design:
The colorization technology, recreates the sparkle and glitter of the waterfalls, giving the waterfalls a true sense of motion and bringing the coin to life. The coin is engraved with the word "CANADA," the date "2014", and the face value of "20 DOLLARS." Mintage is limited to just 7,500 coins. HST / GST exempt.
