Description
This 2014 $20 pure silver coin is both a spectacular work of art and a high quality limited edition collectible. This is the third coin in a series that celebrates "interconnectedness". The coin contains just over one ounce of 99.99% pure silver, with a diameter of 38mm, and is being produced with a limited mintage of just 7,500 coins. The date "2014," and the face value of "20 DOLLARS" is engraved along the rim of the coin. As a pure silver coin produced by the Royal Canadian Mint, this item is exempt from GST or HST.
The Design:
The full colour hologram image on the front of the coin features the theme of "Sea", and showcases an orca whale in the center of the coin. The design is framed by a circle representing the rim of the moon. Surrounding the inner circle is a stylized depiction of gently moving water-the domain of the orca, whose tides and movement lie in thrall to the power of the moon.
